Mark W. Schatzel, AIF®, CRPC®
Mark is passionate about helping businesses offer high quality retirement plans to their employees. With more than two decades of experience in the 401(k) industry, his educational approach to retirement plan consulting has won high praise from clients and business partners across the country.
Due to his belief that it is critical to meet each client at their greatest point of comfort, Mark tailors his approach and recommendations to what is ideal for you. Whether he is working with an expert level board member on governing documents and investment menu design or speaking with an employee who is enrolling in a 401(k) for the first time, Mark acknowledges that both scenarios require a unique communicative approach that results in the best outcome for that individual. During his first decade in the industry, Mark worked at Vanguard, where he logged thousands of hours in live education meetings to participants across the country in a variety of industries and locations, assisted some of the largest retirement plans in the United States, and has focused his efforts on retirement plan participant education and investor assistance. Mark also worked at Lincoln Financial and The Standard, helping small businesses with their retirement plans. In 2015 Mark shifted the focus of his career by becoming a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and expanded his focus to assisting small business owners and employees with their retirement plans over multiple vendors and platforms. He has excelled in partnering with CEO’s, CFO’s, HR directors, and small business owners to enhance both the employer and employee experiences with great success. In addition to being an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Mark holds a designation as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC), holds his Series 7, 6, 65 and 63 licenses, and also has life, health and annuity licenses. He graduated summa cum laude from Immaculata University with a bachelor’s in Financial Management. Mark works out of his office in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He volunteers on his church’s vestry committee and enjoys the outdoors in his spare time. He can often be found gardening, traveling, and going on adventures with his wife, their three young children and their German shorthaired pointer, Winston.
